Production Programming and Testing

From prototype to product.

In production, firmware is loaded by a programmer in a test fixture, then the board runs a self-test that checks power, sensors and communication. A pass or fail result is logged against the board's serial number.

Design test points and a test mode in firmware from the start, and store calibration values in non-volatile memory.
